At Ethereal Arts Aerial Academy we offer a variety of aerial and circus arts instruction. From beginner classes to advanced training and private sessions, we want everyone to experience the joy of running away with the circus!

Youth Intro to Aerial Silks

This 8-week session will focus on the basic skills and techniques for aerial silks, providing a foundation for their aerial journey. This class will allow kids to increase their strength and flexibility, improve their body awareness and motor skills, and give them a taste of what it’s like to run away with the circus!
8 week session - Cost: $280 total
No experience necessary. Open to ages 8-13!
Adult Intro to Aerial Silks

This 8-week session will focus on the basic skills and techniques for aerial silks. This class will set you up with a strong foundation to begin your journey as an aerialist. After taking our Adult Intro and Adult Intro 2 sessions you will be able to sign up for any of our other offered aerial classes!

Intro to Handstands

This eight-week handstands series is open to all, whether you've never been on your hands or you're finding balance.
We will dive into handstand technique, proper alignment, strength and conditioning, and work towards building confidence and comfort upside down! Discover the joy of hand balancing!
8 week session - Cost $280 total
No experience necessary. Open to ages 14 and up!
Intro to Dance Trapeze
Designed for students with previous aerial experience of at least one year (or approval). This series focuses on using existing strength and body awareness so we can learn the foundational skills at a faster pace while building vocabulary on a new apparatus.
We will review basic techniques as needed in support on linking skills with phrases, transitions, and spins. Concepts will include exploring a variety of heights, inversions while spinning, pull-ups/pull-overs, straight arm straddles, splits, drops and momentum.
Comfort to explore all areas of the Trapeze is required, including in the ropes, on the bar, and under bar.
Important Note: No class July 14th!
8 week session - Cost $320 total
Intro to Contortion
This class is designed for teen and adult students looking to develop deep, usable flexibility in the hips, shoulders, and back while building strength and control through skill-based movement.
After a targeted warm-up, you'll work toward contortion skills such as leg holds, arm balances, bridges, dropbacks, chest stands, contortion forearm stands, and more. Expect a blend of mobility, active flexibility, and technique drills to help you move deeper with more confidence, control, and strength.
Open to all!
8 week session - Cost $320 total
Intro to L-Basing Acro
This 8-week beginner series introduces the foundations of L-base acro yoga.
No experience or partner is required.
This series focuses on the building blocks that make acro feel accessible, safe, and fun. Students will explore introductory positions that progress into flows of movement.
Students will develop strength, body awareness, spotting skills, and a shared acro vocabulary, along with tools that support continued progression beyond the series. Classes build on previous weeks to increase understanding and gradually expand your practice.
8 week session - Cost: $200 total
Flexibility
In this drop-in class students will learn active flexibility techniques and exercises to safely increase flexibility, working towards front and middle splits, forward and back bending. We will work on building strength and mobility. Students will work towards their individual goals whether that be chest stands or touching your toes.
Drop in class - Cost: $40/class
No experience required!
Straps Conditioning
Straps is an apparatus that Katie believes every aerialist should be training on! It covers basic strengthening drills and improves your shoulder strength and active flexibility significantly! You do not need straps-specific experience to participate in this class.
Drop in class - Cost: $30/class
Open to students who have completed an Intro to Aerial and Intro to Aerial 2 on any apparatus or have instructor approval.
Open Gym
Open gym is available as self directed drop-in training time for students.
Available to those who have completed Intro to Aerial and Intro to Aerial 2 on any apparatus or have instructor approval.
Cost: $12/hour
Adult Intro to Aerial Hoop
Adult Intro to Aerial Hoop provides the perfect combination of strength building and creative exploration. In this 8 week course, we will create a foundation of Hoop vocabulary and body awareness that foster confidence and support ongoing growth. Concepts will include inversions, pull-ups/pull-overs, mermaid, amazon, man-in-the-moon, and much more!
No experience necessary. Open to ages 14 and up!
Foundational Acrobatics

This 8 week acrobatics series is open to all, whether you've never been on your hands or you're finding balance. We will dive into partner acrobatics technique, proper alignment, strength conditioning, and work towards building confidence and comfort sharing weight.
No experience required. Open to ages 14+!

Designed for students with previous aerial experience of at least one year (or approval), Intro To Hoop for Aerialists focuses on using existing strength and body awareness to develop a more advanced Hoop vocabulary. We will review basic techniques as needed in support of linking skills with phrases, transitions, and spins. Concepts will include inversions while spinning, pull-ups/pull-overs, straight arm straddles, splits, and beats. Comfort to explore all areas of the Hoop is required, including span set/top, sides, & under bar.
Open to experienced aerialists ages 14 and up!
Vertical Conditioning

This class specifically focuses on those strength skills that are oh so helpful to you as an aerialist! Does 60 min of pure conditioning sound fun to you?! I’m going to guess not, but we will make it fun and the improvements you will make in your aerial ability make this class so worth it!
Open to students who have completed an Intro to Aerial and Intro to Aerial 2 (in any apparatus).

Looking for Intermediate or Advanced classes?
Our higher level classes are not listed on the schedule.
Once students have completed the Intro and Intro 2 level or join the studio with previous experience,
the next step is "semi-private" group classes.
These class are open level, but we try to group people based on skill level and schedule availability.

Class Offerings

Aerial Arts
We offer classes in a variety of vertical and horizontal aerial apparatuses, including: silks, rope (corde lisse), hoop (lyra), and straps. Classes range from beginner to advanced for both youth and adults. For those who are interested, we offer performance opportunities!

Hand Balancing
We are excited to offer both introductory handstand courses, as well as courses focusing on more advanced and dynamic hand balancing postures and sequences. This can be a great complement to an aerial practice.

Acrobatics
We offer introductory acrobatics classes, workshops, and private lessons for both kids and adults! These classes are a fun-filled way to explore body movement through rolls, walkovers, handstands, partners acrobatics, and more!

Conditioning
In addition to training aerial and circus arts skills, it's important to keep the body strong and balanced. That's where our conditioning classes come into play. Focusing mostly on body weight exercises, these classes are a great way to strengthen, lengthen, and tone.
